“Edna” is a portrait of Edna Clarke Hall, an artist known best for illustrating Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights. From all accounts, she was highly sensitive and expressive. Sometimes we see sensitivity as a bad thing, but often it is what allows artists like Edna to express things with great detail and depth.

Note: I have done my best to represent the colors and textures accurately in these images, but please keep in mind that there may be a slight variance depending on the device you’re using to view the listing! Colors may vary between pieces, as each color is mixed and applied by hand.

Shipping: At checkout, you may choose to have your artwork shipped or dropped off/picked up. Drop off or pickup is only available if you are located in the Edmonton or Grimshaw/Peace River areas. If you choose the pickup option, I will contact you to make arrangements. If you choose to have your work shipped, shipping costs will be calculated based on package size, weight, and shipping location.

I hope that this painting comes along with a reminder to embrace your sensitivity and use it as a tool to appreciate detail, rather than as a hindrance. Thank you so much for following along and choosing to support my work, it is truly an honour. -Alison
